Excuses

Jeanette just emailed me to inquire why I didn't post during lunch today. Well, my excuses are as follows:
  1. I am soooo broke; I have to pay a hospital bill, a student loan, tuition, and rent this week. I even borrowed money from my boyfriend/ partner/ whatnot... You know, that guy I allegedly financially support? This leaves me too preoccupied to post.
  2. I am overwhelmed by work. So much so that I only have couple hours a day to read knitblogs. How can I fit posting into that schedule?
  3. The cat is making me crazy, so until he calms down enough for my posts to be remotely happy, I can't post.
  4. Blogger has ben uncooperative, causing me to lose all desire to post, even when Blogger does work.
  5. I am experiencing pre-PMS.
  6. Everyone is so much more wittier and creative than me, and take such lovely photos, that I don't know why I bother.
  7. Aliens captured me over the weekend, replacing me with a moving simulacrum. I will not be released until I teach them the Magic Loop technique. (Since I can't effectively use circular needles, this excuse could last a couple weeks, if not a month.)
  8. I am writing the knitting story.
  9. My computer isn't working.
  10. It is too darned hot out.

Ah. #s 5 and 10 about sum up where I've been this week. I've been eating like a cow and wanting to just sit around like a beached whale. It's lovely, really.

Oh, the heat! That four letter word explains everything, although any single one of those things on your list is sufficient excuse. That miserable heat wave just finally left us here in the Midwest, sorry to discover it didn't drift up into Canada or something instead of heading east.

Well-made circular needles make a handy garrote... just saying. Could help with that pesky alien problem.

Hope your week gets better!

You crack me up (and remind me of myself). Your work schedule is indeed punishing if it only leaves you two hours to read knit blogs while on duty! I think you should agitate for beter working conditions.

We took care of the health bill thing, or at leat I think so, tonight, so you can put that in the don't worry column. I seriously doubt you will have to pay this bill. Follow up with me before you do and I'll see what I can finagle for you.

Hang in there!
