Summer Reading Program - Book Twelve

My Summer Reading Program goal was twelve books, fiction or non-fiction. Upon completing them I have a bonus goal, a book I have been putting off reading, largely because it is so, well... large: The Worm in the Bud: The World of Victorian Sexuality by Ronald Pearsall. I think this book weighs about five pounds.

It's not very likely I'll reach this goal. (I should have chosen something about toilets.)

I almost thought I wouldn't make it to twelve, what with how wasting all that time on Collapse* set me back.

(SRP12) Faking It by Jennifer Crusie 412 pgs.
This book was delightful. A con man trying to go straight falls in with a quirky family that has a tradition of forging paintings. Made me want to paint! A

*I am deeply disappointed by Jared Diamond.

Congrats on making your goal! I undoubtably will not be making mine :-(

Jennifer Crusie's books are so cute.

The Worm in the Bud looks great.

I don't think I'm going to make my goal. I had no idea it took me so long to read non fiction.

You rock! I have just returned to reading and it's like I'm rendezvousing with a long lost lover. I still knit plenty, but the fever has passed and I feel like I have time again in my life for reading stuff that doesn't involve knitting. I'm so grateful. Actually, I think reading your highly unsatisfactory mystery drove me back into the arms of literature, seeking to quench my appetite. So I have you to thank! :)

Whoa, you make it sound like I wrote that highly unsatisfactory mystery novel! I only owned a copy. And I didn't recommend it. But I have better books you can borrow.
